About these terms

Kuapy is provided by Condor LLC, 15442 Ventura Blvd., Ste 201-3022, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403, USA. Our full details are in the Legal notice.

You accept these terms when you first sign in to Kuapy. They are available in English. We do not file a separate copy for each member, but the current version is always on this page, and you can save or print it. Earlier versions are available on request.

To start using Kuapy, you choose “Sign in with Google”, pick your Google account and confirm the permissions on Google’s screen. Until you confirm there, you can switch account, go back or cancel, and no Kuapy account is created. After that, you can change your channel picks at any time.

What Kuapy does

Kuapy is a daily digest of your own YouTube subscriptions. Each morning, Kuapy summarises each new video from the channels you chose, with a short intro line and key points. It groups the videos by category and writes a short synthesis for each category.

Transcripts come from a third-party transcript provider, and the summaries are written by a language model. Nothing is edited by hand.

Kuapy works in any modern browser, on a phone or a computer. There is nothing to install. You can read Kuapy’s screens and summaries in English or in one of several other languages. Summaries are written in English and translated automatically by a language model.

Who can use Kuapy

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You need a Google account that you are allowed to use with YouTube under Google’s and YouTube’s own terms.
• Kuapy is for personal, non-commercial use.

Your account and signing in

You sign in with your Google account. Kuapy has no password of its own.

When you sign in, Google asks you to allow read-only access to your YouTube account (the youtube.readonly permission). Kuapy uses it only to read your subscriptions and the public details of channels and new videos. It never posts, never changes your subscriptions and never touches the rest of your Google account. You can remove this access at any time, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Your account is for you alone. Keep your Google account secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your Kuapy account.

YouTube and Google

Kuapy uses YouTube API Services. By using Kuapy, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms).

How Google handles your data is explained in the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Kuapy is independent. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube and Google are trademarks of Google LLC.

Videos and channels belong to their creators. Kuapy shows their titles and thumbnails and links to the original videos. When you play a video, it plays on YouTube or in YouTube’s embedded player.

Automated summaries

Kuapy’s summaries are made automatically, by software, from video transcripts. Nobody edits them by hand. So please keep in mind:

• Summaries can contain mistakes. They can leave out important points or misread what was said.
• Summaries are not professional advice. Nothing in Kuapy is financial, investment, medical, legal or other professional advice.
• Before you rely on what a video says, watch the video. For important decisions, ask a qualified professional.
• Summaries report what creators said. They are not Kuapy’s views, and creators have not reviewed or endorsed them.

If you spot a summary that is wrong, please tell us at info@kuapy.com.

Using Kuapy fairly

Please do not:

• break the law or anyone else’s rights, including copyright;
• try to access another person’s account or data, or any part of Kuapy you are not meant to reach;
• probe, test or get round Kuapy’s security, or copy or reverse-engineer its software, except where the law allows it;
• overload or disrupt Kuapy, or access it with bots, scrapers or other automated tools;
• get round usage limits, for example by opening several accounts;
• resell Kuapy, or republish its summaries in bulk or for commercial purposes;
• use Kuapy in a way that breaks the YouTube Terms of Service.

Content and intellectual property

Videos, titles, thumbnails and channel names belong to their creators and are shown under YouTube’s terms. Kuapy claims no rights in them.

Kuapy itself, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to Condor LLC or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use Kuapy under these terms while you have an account. You may read and keep your digests for your personal use.

You keep any rights in the category names you write. You allow us to use them only to run and improve Kuapy, which includes sending them to our language model provider to write summaries.

Price

We will not charge you anything without your explicit agreement.

Availability and changes to Kuapy

We work to deliver your digest every morning. But we cannot promise that Kuapy will always be available, on time or free of errors.

• Some videos cannot be summarised or are left out, for example when no transcript is available, when a video is private, live, too long or a YouTube Short, or when your plan’s limit for the month is reached.
• Kuapy depends on YouTube and on other providers. If they change or stop their services, parts of Kuapy may stop working.
• We may need to pause Kuapy for maintenance or to fix problems.

We may change, add or remove features. We will tell you in advance about changes that significantly affect how you use Kuapy.

Ending your use, suspension and termination

You can stop using Kuapy and delete your account at any time, free of charge. The Privacy Policy explains how.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if your use puts Kuapy, other members or the services Kuapy relies on at risk, or if the law or an authority requires it. Unless the law or security prevents it, we will tell you why, and you can reply to us.

We may also stop offering Kuapy by telling you at least 30 days in advance. If YouTube or Google withdraws Kuapy’s access to its services, we may have to stop sooner; we will tell you as soon as we can.

When your account is closed, we delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care.

We are not responsible for:

• loss or damage that was not foreseeable;
• business losses, because Kuapy is for personal use;
• the content of videos and channels, or what YouTube, Google or creators decide about them, such as removing a video;
• events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct, or for gross negligence. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first, and we will try to put it right. If we cannot agree, you can bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live or in the courts located in New Mexico, United States. If we need to bring a claim against you as a consumer, we will do so in the courts of the place where you live.

If a court decides that part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms only for these reasons: changes to Kuapy’s features or to how it is offered, changes in the law or in decisions of courts or authorities, changes to services Kuapy relies on, such as YouTube, or to correct mistakes or make the terms clearer. We will tell you about every change, in Kuapy or by email, at least 30 days before it applies, unless it only corrects typing mistakes or is purely in your favour. If you do not agree, you can stop using Kuapy and delete your account before then, free of charge. If you keep using Kuapy after that date, the new terms apply.
